Boy Nash is a spiritual being who uses music as a vehicle to deliver messages and create meaningful emotional connections with his listeners. Boy Nash has spread his wings and since 2019 he has been a content writer for Link Up Tv reviewing new music and albums. He also gives back to the community by engaging with workshop facilitation and careers advice. Boy Nash has shared the stage with Teedra Moses, Jay Electronica and also featured on Charlie Sloths Fire In the Streets series.
In Nash’s very own words, “The music chose me; I never chose it”. The age of 18 marked a prominent year for Boy Nash, he met up with fellow rappers Looney TKR and Nova; to record his first ever song titled "Me Ye Rapper" (I am a rapper) with Ghana’s number one Hip Hop producer Jay So (who produced Sarkodie’s first album).
This song made waves across Ghana’s underground scene, and it found its way to mainstream radio. As recognition of the song grew, Boy Nash, Looney TKR, and Nova decided to mould a group called Ghetto Rep.
In 2010, their critically acclaimed tape was released with features from prominent Ghana-based artists such as Joey B, Bra Kevin, Gemini, Wanlov da Kubolor, Shaker, and many more. Ghana received this project with open arms, and a new wave was upon us.
In Ghana, people refer to Boy Nash as the “Grime Kid”, since he was the only artist in Ghana rapping with a British accent and living there at the same time. After Ghetto Rep, Boy Nash moved swiftly into a solo career. He has worked with artists such as Tribal Magz, D Black (Africa’s 2nd Best Rapper), and was affiliated with media mogul Jay Foley, Edem (Last 2), Kwaku T, and C Real (emcee Africa Fame).
Boy Nash travelled back to London to continue his music. In 2015 he released a Numina Divum with fellow artist Cameron Uzoka. This project opened doors for Boy Nash enabling him to gain air play, acquire radio interviews and build his network.
In 2016 Boy Nash’s bl@ckbox freestyle was co-signed by none other than UK's very own chart topping lyricist/rapper, Wretch 32. This marked a great confidence boost for Boy Nash and started to set a tone amongst industry professionals and his supporters.
In 2017 Boy Nash released his debut E.P entitled "Shackles" which became a firm favourite gaining popularity with music supporters and industry DJ's, of which would see a radio tour. In 2018 he was featured on London’s BET freestyle hosted at Julie Adenuga at the prominent YouTube Space. This was great exposure for Boy Nash.
In 2019 Boy Nash was blessed with the opportunity to kick a freestyle alongside Jay Electronica at his headline show at EartH. Currently Boy Nash is working on his latest project Love and Frequencies which is due for release in 2020, and with a start to the new decade he has enjoyed airplay from the legend DJ Semtex
